About NextChapter Counseling

NextChapter Counseling is a small, independently owned practice built with a lot of care and heart. You’re not a number here— you’re a real person with a real story.

Self-made private practice
Individual & Couples Therapy

NextChapter Counseling was created to be a welcoming, steady place for people who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or ready for something to change. The practice is intentionally small so that care can stay personal, flexible, and responsive to your needs.

Together, we’ll look at what’s working, what isn’t, and what matters most to you. Whether we meet in person or online, the goal is to create a space where you feel safe enough to be honest and supported enough to try new things.

If you’d like to know more about the story and values behind the practice, you’re always welcome to ask when we connect.

Meet the Therapist

The heart of a small practice is the relationship you build together. Getting to know who you’ll be talking with can make the first step a little easier.

Headshot of Alex, therapist at NextChapter Counseling
Alex
Therapist — Adults, Adolescents (13+), and Couples

My name is Alex. I draw my practice from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. I have a passion for working with adults who want to set healthier boundaries, notice patterns in their lives and relationships, and step into new chapters with more confidence.

I also work with adolescents down to the age of 13 and like to bring in activities or creativity when it helps. I believe that people carry a lot of wisdom inside themselves, and therapy can be a place to uncover that wisdom and build a stronger sense of self-worth.

If you’re looking for someone who can be honest, empathetic, and still make room for lightheartedness and laughter, I might be a good fit for you. Life can feel like a lot, and you don’t have to sort through it alone.

Taking the first step to start therapy can be difficult. My hope is to make that step feel a little more comfortable and supportive.
